Pain killers are not that much effective in this treatment. Stress busters can also be taken as stress is very harmful for this disease.
TMJ surgery can not be taken lightly.TMJ surgery includes TMJ arthrocentesis, arthroscopy, arthroplasty, disc suturing, disc removal, total joint replacements, distraction osteogenesis. Botox can not be used for Botox treatment. This needs proper surgery. Self care is very much needed. TMJ surgery is not recommended unless a patient has reached the final stage. TMJ surgery should be done in the proper examination of a well trained doctor. A dentist may also be consulted in this case. An after surgery is necessary for the best result.
